An application has been received to amend the Town of Oakville Zoning By-law to permit the redevelopment of the Bronte Village Mall for a mixed use retail, office and residential development (451 dwelling units) and a total commercial Gross Floor Area of 14,314 sq. m. The development is proposed in five blocks, varying in heights arranged with buildings of two to four storeys fronting on Lakeshore Road West containing a food store and other retail uses, a one 21-storey building fronting onto Bronte Road, and two 10-storey buildings, and 2 eight storey buildings fronting Sovereign Street.
The subject lands are generally bounded by Lakeshore Road West, Bronte Road, Jones Street and Sovereign Street.
